The University of Melbourne’s industry-backed postgraduate courses will equip you with the requisite knowledge and skills needed to manage all aspects of quality and safety in blood management and coordinate requirements for the National Quality and Safety Healthcare Standards, Blood Standard.
These courses are ideal for currently practicing Registered Nurses, midwives, medical scientists and medical officers. Our courses are delivered in partnership with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service and the Department of Health and Human Services under the auspices of the Blood Maters program. The study pathway allows you to begin with the Specialist Certificate in Blood Management Foundations and progress to the Graduate Certificate in Transfusion Practice, which is endorsed by the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) Academy.
